Description
The rotating plate of prototype 1 consisted of a plattform which was directly mounted on the stepper motor axis.
The goal for prototype 2 was to construct a rotating plate with gear.
Main advantages of using a gear:
- Bigger momentum => possibility to rotate even heavier scan objects
- Finer resolution of rotation => 3D scans with more details are possible
The rotating plate with gear is currently in an early development stage.
